Over the weekend the team were competing at the historic Brands Hatch GP circuit. Friday was test day, Louis out in the afternoon sessions and Talan instructing all day. The team was joined by Andy Houghton (a paraplegic MX sidecar racer) who decided to try out two wheels and tarmac.
Saturday was a mixed day of sun and rain, luckily for the team, all three riders enjoyed dry races. Each racer made progression throughout the day and improved on lap times. Andy came back to the pits wearing the biggest smile ever, and we believe he is now hooked on tarmac rather than mud. He did miss having to navigate through the cow pats, so we will find something for him next time!!!
Sunday was another successful day, although Louis had to retire from the races due to a continuing illness. He had battled through on Saturday, and even though he was unwell, he matched his fastest time easily, so there is far more in the tank when he recovers.
Talan's return to racing saw him mix it up with the MRO600's. Although now at the back of the field, he enjoyed battling with the other racers and improved his lap times by 3seconds from last year.
The Talan Racing crew did an exceptional job and big thanks got to them for making the weekend run so well in the garage.
Thank you to all the sponsors who help to keep the team racing and bringing smiles to everyone involved.

Four wheels at Donington. Race Wknd Report - A tough race meet at Donington on Saturday. Firstly the boys had worked hard to get the car ready after the 'off' at Brands, then the clutch started to slip in qualifying so I had to retire the car. Thought it was sorts for race1, managed my best start to date and was in a group of 5 cars for the first two laps, then the clutch started to slip again and two laps later I had to retire. The car was jacked up, gearbox and clutch came out, a dash to a shop that had the specific part, rush to get the parts back in and car working, missed my time to get lined up on grid but arrived at pit lane exit as they set off on flag lap. So started race on cold tyres from pit lane. Pulled out onto track, looked to change over controls from electric to air shift and then glanced at all dials, then noticed one thing had been missed in the panic to get me back out.....fuel. I was on a quarter of a tank, and I normally go out with half and come back with light on. So I built up pace, had some enjoyable laps to make sure car was fine, then set about trying to be as fast and as economical as possible. Fuel light was on before half way through race, but finally got the chequered flag. Arrived at paddock massively relieved, very sweaty, car stopped as I stopped, fuel tank empty, the diagnostic computer read 0.0ltr, first time they had ever seen that! So, huge effort all round, lots of drama, fantastic to be out racing again and feel positive going forwards. Thank you Darren King, Dan Jackson, Clive Hilton, Karolina Spinderella, and all those who helped. ... See MoreSee Less
